Kunlun Dayan (Wild Goose) Qigong

Qigong, or Chi Gong as it is also known, is a beautiful and precious Chinese skill which can help the body to become more flexible, the joints to be loose, calm the mind and when practiced regularly increase health and so in turn increase longevity.

Grandmaster Yang Meijun opened this skill to the public when she was over 80 years old and also taught a number of her own specially chosen students. One of them being Master Michael Tse of the Tse Qigong Centre where my Sifu (teacher), Mike Baker, is a Senior Student.

Chen Taijiquan

Taiji, sometimes known as Tai chi, is more popularly known for its use as a health exercise but originally it was used for fighting and Chen style Taijiquan is practiced not only for its health benefits but for self-defence. Chen Taijiquan not only has many forms but has weapons too, such as sword, broadsword and spear which would have been used when fighting.

The Chen family have studied and practiced this skill for hundreds of years and the present day Standard Bearer of Chen Taijiquan is Grandmaster Chen Xiao Wang.

I first came across the Tse Qigong Centre in 2003. I had practiced martial arts a number of years before and had been searching for a class so I could get back into training as this was something I enjoyed and gave me good health.

My Sifu (teacher) Kate Britton, is a student of my Sigong Darryl Moy, Chief Instructor of the Tse Qigong Centre.

Wing Chun

Wing Chun is a southern style of Chinese Kung Fu made famous by the late
Grandmaster Ip Man and subsequently Bruce Lee.

This style is characterised by its direct no nonsense approach based on using minimal strength to defeat all opponents.

Originally developed by a woman, the style has grown in popularity and is suitable for all, including beginners.

My Sifu Mike Baker is a Senior Student of Master Michael Tse (Tse Qigong Centre), who is a Senior Student of Grandmaster Ip Chun

As part of the Tse Qigong Centre I have met many people from all over the world and we all seem to have one thing in common and that is we enjoy what we are doing. I hope that I can pass on these Traditional Chinese skills and help people to enjoy their life, develop good skill but most importantly be healthy.
