The Samurai Fitness Group has 2 classes in Windsor:

  1. Little Samurai
  2. Young Samurai

1. Little Samurai - Kickboxing classes for children aged 4 to 6

These classes progress the skills learnt in the Mini Samurai classes by focusing on two areas, ‘Life Skills’ such as confidence, social interaction, self discipline and awareness of the danger of strangers and ‘Physical Skills’ such as fitness, balance and coordination. The classes are based on the fundamental principles of Kickboxing but are non-contact, non-aggressive and targeted towards the developmental stages of this age range.

The Samurai Fitness Group likes to think it is differentfrom other children's martial arts classes throughout the U.K because it focuses solely on the development of its students. The Little Samurai classes for example do this in the following ways:

·        It specialises in teaching martial arts to children aged four, five and six years old

·        It focuses on encouraging the physical and character development of its students

·        It limits the number of children per class to 15 to ensure each child gets the attention they deserve

·        Its syllabus has evolved from the National Curriculum

·        The Chief Instructor has academic classroom teaching experience, is a qualified martial arts instructor and has over 12 years of experience in 3 separate martial arts

Little Samurai classes are held on Saturdays from 9am to 9:45am at Pinder Hall in Cookham, on Saturdays from 11am to 11:45am in the Community Centre on Broom Farm, Windsor and starting on the 24th January on Mondays from 3:15pm to 4pm in Taplow Village Hall, Taplow. Standard lessons cost £6 per student per lesson. There is a maximum of 15 students per class so please call before hand to check availability.

2. Young Samurai - Kickboxing classes for children aged 7 to 12

Unlike many other martial arts organisations The Samurai Group recognises the different child development stages and divides its classes to specific age ranges.  The Young Samurai classes focus on more advanced physical techniques and concepts incorporating self-protection, pad work and for those that want to, light sparring. These classes are an ideal way to install confidence in children, something that is so important in reducing the risk of attack or bullying. They also give the students a perfect grounding to prepare them for the full kickboxing syllabus that is taught to those aged 13 and above.

Young Samurai classes are held on Saturdays from 11:45am to 12:30pm in the Community Centre on Broom Farm, Windsor. Standard lessons cost £6 per student per lesson. There is a maximum of 15 students per class so please call before hand to check availability.
