ABOUT US

The Federation was formed in 1993 and has two main organisations within it. They are East Midlands Wado-Kai, with clubs in Gainsborough and Lincoln; and West Yorkshire Wado-Kai, with clubs in Kippax; Castleford; Xercise Health & Fitness, Glasshoughton, Fitness First, Pontefract & Xercise4Less Wakefield

We also run various martial arts courses with guest instructors from other styles. Personal tuition is also on offer at our clubs with a fully qualified black belt Instructor.

CLASSES

Our Centre's have a relaxed, friendly but professional atmosphere in which we aim to develop a personal and constructive relationship between students and Instructors.

We welcome students of all ages (generally starting at age 3+) and all abilities to come and train with us. All of our Instructors are trained professionals and hold the relevant CRB certificates and are also experinced in teaching students with disabilities including; asthma, dyslexia/dyspraxia, anger problems, ADD and ADHD.

 WHY NEEMAF?

At NEEMAF we do not believe that training should stop once a student leaves the Dojo, and all of our lessons encourage better concentration skills, self confidence, physical control, mental control and leadership skills.

Our younger members (under 14's) are enrolled onto the 'Success For Life' educational program following NEEMAF registration.

What is 'Success For Life'?

"This life skills curriculum is taught in all our children’s martial arts classes. Classes focus on our “success for life” curriculum that is helping shape a positive future for today’s younger ones. Success for Life was developed by Martial Arts Instructors, teachers and character education experts. By working together they devised a character education program that would help children make better decisions for the future.

Character traits are reinforced through the 12 life skills modules taught in their martial arts classes. in turn, these are supported at home by parents and children participating together to complete child-friendly life skills checklists to reinforce the skills learned in class. Once children have demonstrated the required effort and conduct in and out of their martial arts classes they are rewarded with certificates, just like with the grading system in their physical martial art curriculum.

Parents will see these following improvements in their children and much more:

  • developing self control,
  • improved self-confidence,
  • higher grades,
  • and greater awareness of personal safety skills. "

If you would like to come along to one of our classes please contact us to book your first lesson, or for further information.

We look forward to seeing you soon!
