Self defencehas never been more important than it is in current times. While the emphasis is on a non-aggressive response to threatening situations, you will learn straightforward ways to release yourself from grips and locks - you will also learn about pressure points, how to floor an assailant, as well as how to strike and disarm as a last resort.  A practical application of defence and combat techniques and the History of Karate and principles to  be aware.
Karate training does not make women or men muscle bound, on the contrary it will tone muscle, firm the body and in the process teach self defence and increase confidence. Put all these together and the case for learning self-defence is overwhelming.

The course is designed to  develop individuals awareness of

    ●Self defence techniques and application against single and multiple attackers
    ●Learn the fundamentals for kicking, blocking and punching
    ●
Warm up exercises for body tone – stretching exercises
    ●
Mental awareness and attitude
    ●Stress management through meditation and easy  to  follow breathing exercises
   
● Assertive behaviour to  diffuse volatile situations

According to a report published in January 2005:
  
1 in 4 crimes committed in London is a violent crime i.e. 25%

20% rise in violence on trains and the Tube i.e. over 20 incidents per day
  
1 out 4 women will be sexually assaulted in her lifetime
  
Statistically 4 out of 5 women who fight back get out of a situation!
  
Men feel equally insecure about their safety as it is a myth men know how to fight

BASIC SELF-DEFENCE WORKSHOP:
 This two hour workshop will cover boundary setting, basic strikes, safety planning, awareness, and getting out of   common grabs. 
BASIC SELF-DEFENCE FOUR WEEK SERIES:
 
This class covers boundary setting, de-escalation, striking and kicking, releases from common grabs, fighting from the ground, weapons and multiple attackers. We will use exercises, role-playing and discussion to explore and practice these techniques while building strength, confidence and power. This class explores self-defence with both strangers and with people in our lives.
BOUNDARY SETTING WORKSHOP:
 In this two hour workshop, participants will explore boundaries, defining whom we set boundaries with, and the tools we use to set and maintain healthy boundaries with the people in our lives. We will also practice these skills in role plays related to real-life situations.
BASIC SELF-DEFENCE WORKSHOP FOR TEENS!
 This two hour workshop is specifically created for teenage participants.  We will cover boundary setting, basic strikes, safety planning, awareness, and getting out of common grabs.  We will use exercises, role-plays and discussion grounded in the lives of the participants.
LEVEL ONE ADVANCED COURSE (8 WEEKS)
     This course is designed for the serious student who wishes to learn fundamentals of planning, awareness training, grappling, disengaging, learn to  kick, block and punch effectively, dealing with multiple attackers, learn assertive body  language and it correct uses plus much  more...
